                                        PASTOR VERNON McBRIDE, a native Baltimorean, is

                            first and foremost a servant and disciple of the Lord                                  Jesus Christ. He is the devoted husband of First Lady                                Yvonne McBride and loving father of two children,                                    along with several grandchildren. At the early age of                                  15, through the guidance and nurturing of the late                                    Pastor Venora Hammond, a calling was pronounced                               for him to preach the Word of God. Under the                  ordination and commission of the late Bishop Aaron Claxton, and with great devotion and obedience to God, Pastor McBride set forth to establish Jehovah-Jireh Christian Center in 1987, which later became Spread The Word Cathedral. As one temple transitioned into the next,       the hands and mighty works of God provided a solid foundation as God provided all that we needed. “GOD YET PROVIDES!”  

 

              Many faith ventures have been taken through the years as Pastor continues his faithful confession.....……GOD IS FAITHFUL! Through many trials, challenges, and adversities, Pastor has remained faithful in proclaiming the vision that God has placed in his heart. With every elevation a test is always given. Through it all, Pastor always encourages everyone to hold on to what God has said in HIs Word.
